When someone says that they need some space, it pretty much means it is over. This is usually a way of saying it's over but, still trying to be nice so they won't hurt your feelings.
Take some pride and forget about him.
And when he calls, which I know he will when he is done with whom ever his with, you say you dont need him coz since he was away you had time to think aswell and you decided your too good for him and thought why the F#ck you were with him in the first place, and thank him.
He's banging someone else. If he needs time alone, a couple of days is max. What is he doing ';ALONE';? Do yourself a favor, go out to a place where you both used to go, with other friends of course. Men are creatures of habit, he may just be there with to otha ******!!!1
If it's been weeks, then I think he's not interested in keeping up the relationship, I'd move on. Good luck.
