Should i do it.... ? advice from guys and girls needed?

So i really like this girl from my school. im 15 and she is 15. she is in the lower parts of the popular group and i am in the normal average Joe group. i had a class with her 1st semester of school and talked to her rarely. now its summer and i really want to get her number. i was thinking about talking to her on facebook chat(im facebook friends with her all ready) and talking then getting her number. i am afraid that this may be weird for her since i dont know her well and she hardly knows me. also i havent talked to her in awhile. Is this a good idea or not?Should i do it.... ? advice from guys and girls needed?
If you never put yourself out there and get in the game... then you can't win! Just go for it! Who cares how popular she is? If you are interested, what's the worst that could happen? Just try, she'll realize your interested. If nothing works out, oh well! There are tons of girls out there :)

Yes....I changed schools when I was fifteen. Sometime into the next summer break I came across a few of the myspace pages of people I liked, but they didn't know me too well back inside school, so I let that stop me from contacting them. I regret now, for although I have been searching for them all over the web, I can't locate any of them....I say go for it....go for it before you lose her.
